SouthernLINC adds Birmingham cell tower

SouthernLINC Wireless has boosted its coverage area in Birmingham by adding a new tower on Shadescrest Road between Oxmoor and Highway 150 overlooking the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort and Shades Creek.
The subsidiary of Southern Co. built eight new tower sites during the third quarter including in Mobile, Perote, Ala., Rainbow City, Ala., Armuchee, Ga., Odum, Ga., Offerman, Ga. and Terrora, Ga.
SouthernLINC also constructed six tower sites earlier this year in Auburn, Eunola, Ala., North Clanton, Ala., Huntsville, Kingston, Ga. and Trenton, Ga.
The company provides service to meet the needs of Southern Co.’s operating companies – Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power and Mississippi Power.
